Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: apply critical thinking in research in an organizational setting; address and reflect on a range of views; execute skills in data collection technique(s) and analysis method(s) in research; propose suggestion(s) to the identified issue(s)/problem(s) for future research and/or management; and communicate research in an academic style.
Topics:
The nature of postgraduate education puts special emphasis on the development and expansion of new or existing knowledge. It is within the objective of postgraduate education that graduate students should be able to expand their understanding of existing knowledge, both qualitative as well as quantitative, and provide contributions to such an area. The dynamic nature of business activities demands that business graduates should be able to critically evaluate and make decisions based on the findings of a research. This course is designed in order to develop students’ knowledge and skills in the research process, thus preparing them to start their own research activities especially in the context of preparing them for research publication and thesis writing. The Research Analysis & Publication course is the advanced level of the Research Methodology course. This course is designed to develop students’ skills in the research process and prepare them to start their own research activities especially in the context of preparing them for research publications. This course will equip students to conduct the following: data collection, data analysis, a discussion of the research results, conclusions, theoretical implications, managerial implications, and suggestions for future research.
