INTRODUCTION TO POLITICAL SCIENCE (2 SCU)

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: Identify and explain political text and theory, identify and explain the role of political elements for development and application such as political parties, bureaucracy, media and government in a political system, analyze current political situation using suitable theories, express their views on political issues both verbally and in writing.

Topics:

This course is an introduction to the field of political science. It will introduce students to the formal study of politics. Students will become familiar with the basic vocabulary of the discipline, and develop critical thinking, and writing skills. This course aims to provide students with analytical tools that will enhance their understanding in this field of study.
