Digital Media Communication

Introduction

The Digital Media Communication Program is an interdisciplinary program that combines communication science, multimedia production, broadcasting, journalism, and digital media strategies. Designed for the evolving digital landscape, the program equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to plan, produce, distribute, and manage engaging media content across digital and conventional platforms.

Students will explore the creative and strategic processes behind media production, from developing ideas and storytelling to scriptwriting, audiovisual production, multimedia editing, audience analysis, and content promotion. They will learn how to create compelling content for television, radio, websites, social media, and other digital platforms while understanding how media messages connect with audiences in an increasingly interconnected world.

Beyond content production, the program develops students’ contentpreneurship capabilities, empowering them to build their own content initiatives, develop digital media projects, and explore opportunities to distribute and monetize their creative work. By combining communication knowledge, technological literacy, creativity, and strategic thinking, students are prepared to adapt to the changing media industry and emerging digital opportunities.

With a curriculum aligned with industry developments and BINUS UNIVERSITY’s emphasis on information and communication technology and global perspectives, students have opportunities to develop professional competencies and gain international exposure through a three-year on-campus learning experience and a one-year Enrichment Program.
