INTRODUCTION TO POLITICS (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: identify and explain political texts and theories; identify and explain the role of political elements for developments and applications, such as political parties, bureaucracy, the media, and the government in a political system; analyze the current political situation using suitable theories; and express their views on political issues both verbally and in writing.
Topics:
This course is an introduction to the field of political science. It will introduce students to the formal study of politics. Students will become familiar with the basic vocabulary of the discipline, as well as develop critical thinking and writing skills. This course aims to provide students with analytical tools that will enhance their understanding in this field of study.
